Linda, As you know Central Iowa Shelter & Services is an adult homeless shelter for men and women. We have 116 beds that are always full and this time of year we have people sleeping in chairs because we are out of beds. In addition we operate a Community Kitchen program that serves between 8,000 and 9,000 meals a month at 8 locations in Des Moines.
